Yes, another week has gone by as we’re heading toward the Labour Day long weekend. Then it’s time for the wee one’s to head back to school. In the mean time, I hope you’re taking good care of your children’s mother. I hope you’re starting to eat better and managing to get some regular exercise each week.
I don’t know how many of you have read Monday’s post. It’s about an article I read that stated that being overweight and active is much better than being thin and a couch potato. In other words, if you only do one thing for yourself, let it be exercise. No matter how much weight you have to lose, you can still reap the benefits from exercising. You’ll add years on to your life and you’ll feel stronger, better able to cope with just about everything and you’ll be so proud of yourself. It’s a no lose investment of your time. Just 30 minutes a day of walking can change your life.
Poor Muffet. The drops continue. The picture above makes him look all clean and fresh compared to what he looks like now.
The good new is, I’ve become an expert at eardrops. I know where the ear canal is and they go in every time. We’re still doing the ear drops every 12 hours and Muffet is still not speaking to me.
We’re due back at the vet on Tuesday. Cross your fingers that this bloody ear infection has cleared up. That will be the one month mark.
I think he may have gotten it as a result of water getting in his ear when he was in the bathtub. No, I wasn’t giving him a bath but he likes to lick the faucet in case there’s a little drop of water there. (He just ignores the fact that I have two water dishes filled with fresh water at all times).
We’re not going to go through with this ever again if I can help it so I’m trying to think of a way to cover the tub faucet so that he can’t get his head under it and get water in his ear again. At the moment I have a plastic baggie over it and it’s in place with an elastic band but I have to think there must be a better solution. If anyone knows of a better way, I’d appreciate the help.
